Do you mean for humans? Because when we run out of coal, oil and natural gas then it will be a very different place from today. It’s hard to know but I am excited to find out.

      Hi,

Plate Tectonics will continue to change the way the world looks and the climate will change over time turning jungles into deserts and deserts into jungles. I think that is pretty cool. As far as humans are concerned, I think we will continue to evolve as we travel forward in time and we will continue to learn a great many things about the universe. I am very excited to see what we figure out!

I’m not sure. It can be a little bit scary to think about the changes that will happen to the world over the next few hundred years, we hear a lot about things like climate change and the idea that there will be lots more extreme weather, more flooding, higher sea levels, places on earth that become much drier and places that become much wetter… But I’m interested to see how we will deal with the challenges that we are facing. I think that we are intelligent and creative enough to survive and adapt in the future, and I hope that we continue to think about the other animals and plants that we share the planet with and help them to survive too.

But during the history of earth there have been lots of changes, lots of different plant and animals species have come and gone in their own time, so I expect the world in hundreds of thousands of years will be as different from the world around us today as the world of the dinosaurs is!
