We get asked this a lot. It’s working on new and interesting problems everyday, meeting lots of new people (like you guys) and getting paid to look at fossils! Not to mention I get to travel all over the world to find fossils, visit museums or go to conferences. 😀

      Hi,

My favourite part of the job is learning new things and figuring out how to solve puzzles. Science is just one big effort to figure out the puzzle that is the universe, so we each start looking at different bits of the universe and trying to figure out what it means and what it does and when you do figure something out and have discovered something new, that is my favourite part of the job!

I love that I get to travel around the world, seeing different countries, different animals and meeting new people! But most of all, I love being able to teach people about what I do so that I get to see their excitement in the same thing that gets me excited!

I love being able to learn more about wild animals and how we can make sure we take good care of the world around us. I also love being able to do things like this, talking to lots of different people about what science and is and what I like about it, sharing my excitement with people all over the world 🙂
