      You can start being a scientist whenever you want – but normally if you are specalising in a subject (like I did in palaeontology) it starts when you go to university!

      I’ve always liked to ask questions and experiment and figure things out about the world – so maybe I’ve always been a scientist… but like Thomas says, I suppose I officially became a scientist and learned a lot more about science when I studied Natural Sciences at university 🙂

      Hi,

      I started to be a scientist when I started working at the University of Oxford in 2011 so I have been a scientist for about 4 and a half years.
