Question: Do you agree with the fact that some people think that humans are special enough to have product tested on animals before themselves? Do you agree with this sort of testing
As mentioned by Thomas this is a morally deep issue. For my own own view, I don’t feel that consumer products (like make-up) should be tested on animals, I think it is unnecessarily cruel to keep these animals in cages and continually test products on them. So in this case I am 100% against the use of animals. If you need to test your product you need to find a new way to do it.
However, in regards to medical research when people’s lives are on the line I have a different view. I think that in certain cases that testing on animals is useful. That being said, I would require that these animals be treated very well and that they have space to play and move around and that the researchers ensure that they have good lives. No animal should suffer, but the knowledge gained from these experiments could save my daughter’s life (she is very ill with an illness that medical science can’t sure). I certainly value my daughter’s life over that of an animal and I assume that everyone else loves their family members as much as I do. So in this case, I am for animal testing, but only if we take very good care of the animals and we make sure that they don’t suffer.
When you are going to do tests on animals, I think that first you should do as much research as you can before hand in the laboratory and in computer simulations so that you can do the fewest number of animal tests possible. However, it is important to understand that all the medicines that we take to keep ourselves healthly have been tested on animals to try and make sure that humans aren’t harmed when we are trying to make them better.
Like Thomas says, it is all tested on humans as well. These are called clinical trials. What happens is some people volunteer to try the medicine to make sure it works and is safe for humans. It is only after these clinical trials that the medicine is then given to everyone else.

I hope that answers your question!

If you test animals, you should test humans.

Hi Cheesey puff, They do – sadly they use animals first to make sure it is safe for humans.

My dad says that if you tell any on that you test any drugs on animals people may start damaging your property or hurting your family.
