I have always loved animals, but I only decided to start working as an evolutionary biologist after school when I went to university. The great thing about palaeobiology is that you don’t have to work with one type of animal – you can work on as any as you like!

I’ve always been really interested in animals – I used to watch David Attenborough’s nature programmes on TV all the time when I was little! I’ve always enjoyed spending time around different animals and watching them. So studying zoology at university was a great way to learn even more about animals, from how they evolve to why they behave the way that they do and realising how many more animals I’d never even heard of before!

      Hi,

I think animals are endlessly interesting in all the ways that they live and all the things that they do. My favourite animals are California Sea Otters! Did you know that Sea Otters will hold hands while sleeping so that they don’t float away from each other!
