I work with lots of other scientist and we are all passionate about science. However, all scientist have different areas of science they prefer!

I work in taphonomy – the study of how things turn into fossils. In my office I have a lady to my left called Alodie who looks at how rocks shatter when you squash them and someone called Phil that looks at how the south coast of England is actually rising! We have volcano scientists, earthquake scientists – even a scientist who studies nothing but microscopic shrimp!!!! 😀

I don’t know anyone who works in science who doesn’t enjoy the excitement of research and finding out more about the world! We can all have frustrating days where things go wrong with the projects we’re working on, but that’s all part of the fun, and adds to the pleasure we get when things do work out!

I work with lots of scientists who work in lots of different areas of science. We all have our favourite areas of science, and I really enjoy finding out about what they enjoy, why they enjoy it, and what they’re researching at the moment. I like that we all enjoy science but also I like the differences between us!

      Hi,

I work with many people and we do many different things. I work on human evolution, I have friends that work in physics studying how the world works, I have other friends that are biologists and study animals and bacteria. But we all love science and we love learning new things.
